Jimmy Glen Ellis

Jimmy Glen Ellis, 76, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, died on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.

Born Friday, November 1, 1946, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, he was the son of the late F.M. Ellis and the late Sarah May Fowlkes Ellis. Mr. Ellis was a former diesel mechanic with Caterpillar of Dyersburg, Tennessee and a former employee of the Dyer County Sheriff's Department.  The times that he cherished the most were those spent with his family.

A Celebration of Life Visitation for Mr. Ellis will be held on Sunday, November 5, 2023, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home from 12:00 PM until 1:30 PM. Bro. Mac Daniels will officiate with a closing prayer at 1:30 PM.

He leaves to cherish his memory, four daughters, Beth Ann Ellis Hawley (Sam) of Salem, Oregon, Erin Simpson (Jason) of Salem, Oregon, Sandy Eason of Medina, Tennessee and Darlene Ellis of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one step-daughter, Anna Parish (Jason) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; one step-son, Charles Cook of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one brother, Burgie Ellis of Dyersburg, Tennessee; six grandchildren, Justin Attaway, Kaylee Hopper, Brenden Edwards, Madison Hopper, Addie Parish and Ethan Simpson; one great-grandchild and a host of extended family that loved him dearly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Joe Millner Ellis and a son-in-law, John Eason.
