Jimmy Dale Connelly

Jimmy Dale Connelly, 80, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, died on Monday, September 11, 2023, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.

Born, Friday, April 2, 1943, in Dyer County, Tennessee (Mississippi River Bottoms), he was the son of the late Bill Connelly and the late Opal Walker Connelly. Mr. Connelly was a retired employee of Oberg, former owner and operator of Kerr McGee Service Station and a self-employed truck driver,

Funeral services for Mr. Connelly will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 15, 2023, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Bro. Tommy Roper. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Visitation for Mr. Connelly will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, September 14, 2023, and on Friday from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. 

He leaves to cherish his memory, two sons, Jimmy Connelly, Jr. of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Jeffery Lynn Connelly of Dyersburg, Tennessee; daughter by choice, Tina Hugueley of Dyersburg, Tennessee and he was "Grand Daddy" to his three grandsons, Bradley E. Connelly, Benjamin S. Connelly, and Joshua L. Connelly and six great grandchildren, Landon Connelly, Connor Connelly, Hunter Connelly, Deklan Connelly, Nia Connelly, and Milo Connelly. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley Anderson Connelly; one brother, Billy Wayne Connelly and two sisters, Janet Connelly Buchannon and Monette Connelly Carlton.

Honoring Mr. Connelly as pallbearers will be Benjamin S. Connelly, Joshua L. Connelly, Bradley E. Connelly, Landon Connelly, Hunter Connelly and Albern Connelly.
