Jerry J. Flowers

Jerry Flowers, 88, of Dyer, TN died on Sunday March 19, 2023, at his residence.

Born Monday October 8, 1934, in Nebo, TN, he was the son of the late Claude Flowers and the late Iva Jones Flowers. Mr. Flowers was a retired carpenter and farmer. He loved spending time with his family and had a deep passion for his farms and animals along with his dog Shorty.

Visitation for Mr. Jerry Flowers will be held from 9 am to 10:30 am Friday March 31, 2023, at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home in Newbern, TN. A Service and Interment will follow at the Yorkville Cemetery at 11am.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of “65” years, Rosemary Flowers of Dyer, TN. One Son Adolph Flowers (Denise) of Roselle, Il, two grandchildren Jerry Flowers (Michelle) of Elmhurst, IL, Jamie Leipert (Dan) of Roselle, IL, four great grandchildren, Wyatt and Logan Flowers and Calvin and Lucy Leipert. One daughter Rayleen Woods (Mike) of Itasca, IL and two step grandchildren Donald Woods (Amanda) of Lake in the Hills, IL and Patrick Woods (Maria) of Addison, IL, one brother Bill Flowers of Trenton, TN., one sister Helen Featherston of Bardwell, KY, one sister-in-law Margie Flowers of Dyersburg, TN., and many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his sister Rae Victory (J.B.) and two brothers Robert Flowers and J.W. (Maxine) Flowers, sister-in-law Covie Flowers and brother-in-law Eugene Featherston.

Honoring Mr. Flowers as pall bears will be Adolph Flowers, Mike Woods, Jerry Flowers, Dan Leipert, Robert Flowers and Bobby Parker.
