Jeremy Duane Walker, 53, of Newbern, Tennessee, died Saturday, May 9, 2026, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Jeremy was born on January 10, 1973, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, to the Larry Walker and Cheryl Willis Walker.
Jeremy was a former security guard with the Northwest Tennessee Correctional Complex, where he formed many friendships through the years. He was a devoted member of the Glendale Church of Christ.
Jeremy had a deep love for music and was a talented drummer. During his high school years, he was proud to be a member of the DCHS Sound of the Choctaws Band, where he formed lasting memories and friendships through music. He later continued his passion for music in college as a member of the Murray State Band.
In his spare time, Jeremy enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved watching movies and could often be found with a good Stephen King novel in his hands. Those who knew Jeremy will remember his quiet nature, kind heart, and the joy he found in the things he loved most.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Bro. Serge Shoemaker. Interment will follow in Zion Cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Walker will be held on Tuesday from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents Larry and Cheryl Walker of Newbern, Tennessee; one brother, Bryan Walker (Soo) of Germantown, Tennessee; one niece, Avery Walker of Memphis, Tennessee, one nephew, Ellis Walker of Nashville, Tennessee and a host of extended that loved him dearly.
Honoring Mr. Walker as pallbearers will be Shannon Walker, Eli Walker, Heath Walker, Cody Walker, Wade Willis and Jake Willis.
