Janice Marie Fugate, 64, of Halls, Tennessee died on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at her residence in Halls, Tennessee.
Born Saturday, March 18, 1961, in Lake County, , she was the daughter of the late Samuel Edward Davis and the late Vernie Marie Thomas Zollman.
Janice will be remembered as a loving, hardworking, and joyful presence in the lives of all who knew her. She spent many years as a dedicated seamstress with Todd’s Uniform until its closing, after which she continued her strong work ethic with Pictsweet.
Janice was known for her outgoing personality, her cheerful spirit, and her willingness to lend a helping hand. She truly loved the outdoors and could often be found enjoying her favorite activities—fishing, swimming, and tending to her garden. Her understanding nature and kind heart made her a friend to many and a comfort to those around her.
Cremation services for Mrs. Fugate are under the direction of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
She leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters, Rachel Eaves (Steven) of Halls, Tennessee, Melissa Brewer Browning of Martin, Tennessee and Robin Summers (Jason) of Ripley, Tennessee; one brother, Ervin Davis (Mary) of Wisconsin and she was "Nana" to her eight grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Fugate; two brothers, Mickey Davis and Stacey Davis and one sister, Barbara Davis.
