Janice Howell

Janice Burpo Howell, 65, of Tiptonville, Tennessee, formerly of Martin, Tennessee, died on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Sunday, June 23, 1957, in Hornbeak, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late R.L. Burpo and the late Oma Dotson Burpo. Mrs. Howell was a retired assembly line worker at Hubble Lighting in Martin, Tennessee.  While the Howell Family lived in Martin, Tennessee, Mr. Howell was the owner and operator of Howell's Auto Alignment Shop.

Visitation for Mrs. Howell will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home in Newbern, Tennessee.
Funeral services for Mrs. Howell will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, January 15, 2023, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Mr. Donnie Essary. Interment will follow at New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely, Tennessee. 

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of forty-seven years, Jimmy D. Howell of Tiptonville, Tennessee, formerly of Martin, Tennessee; one son, Steve Howell of Tiptonville, Tennessee formerly of Martin, Tennessee; two sisters,Doris Stockdale of Hornbeak, Tennessee and Virginia Stover (Danny) of Hornbeak, Tennessee; three brothers, Jeff Burpo (Freda) of Hornbeak, Tennessee, Don Burpo of Hornbeak, Tennessee and David Burpo (Barbie) of Hornbeak, Tennessee; her great-niece and caregiver, Tristin Garland and a host of nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

Honoring Mrs. Howell as pallbearers will be Scott Burpo, Larry Burpo, Jimmy Stockdale, Jr., Shaun Stover, Levi Stover and Richard Baker.
