James Henry Pierce

James Henry Pierce, 79, of Newbern, Tennessee, died on Friday, November 10, 2023, at his residence in Newbern, Tennessee.

Born Monday, December 20, 1943, in Dyer County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late J. M. Pierce and the late Georgie Evelyn Harden Pierce. Mr. Pierce was a self-employed carpenter and retired employee of Oldberg Manufacturing.

Graveside service for Mr. Pierce will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Rehoboth Cemetery. Officiating this service will be Rev. Travis Davison. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery. 

He leaves to cherish his memory, one daughter, Linda Pierce of Dyersburg, Tennessee and he was "Paw-Paw" to his two grandsons, Tyler Camaso (Cinda) of Paris, Tennessee and Timothy "T. J." Camaso (Ashley) of Newbern, Tennessee and "Paw Henry" to his three great-grandsons, Tristan Seth Camaso, Tylan Pierce Camaso and Tanner James Camaso. Other survivors include three brothers, Wilburn Pierce of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Wyatt Pierce of Big Sandy, Tennessee and Jeff Pierce of Dyersburg, Tennessee and three sisters, Vivian Lowe of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Irene Cook of Unionville, Tennessee and Barbara Hall of Yorkville, Tennessee.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, of fifty-three years, Edna Pierce; one son, James Henry "Bubba" Pierce and two brothers, Benton Pierce and Roy Hall.

Honoring Mr. Pierce as pallbearers will be Linda Pierce, Tyler Camaso, Timothy "T. J." Camaso, Tim Camaso, Chance Barr and B. J. Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be Tristan Seth Camaso, Tylan Pierce Camaso and Tanner James Camaso.
