James Franklin Taylor, 84, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born Thursday, January 2, 1936 in Dyer County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Thomas E. Taylor and the late Alice Christine Dyer Taylor. Mr. Taylor was a farmer and member of RoEllen Church of Christ.
Funeral services for Mr. Taylor will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday May 8, 2020 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Bro. Parks Thurmon. Interment will follow in Rehoboth Cemetery near Newbern, Tennessee. Visitation will be Friday from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. He is survived by two brothers, Terry Taylor (Cindy) of Newbern, Tennessee and Joe Taylor of Paris, Tennessee; four sisters, Peggy Thrasher of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Sandra Walsh (Paul) of Valrico, Florida, Juanita Taylor Porth of Jacksonville, Florida and Shirley French (Larry) of Big Sandy, Tennessee
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Bonnie Jean Thompson.
Honoring Mr. Taylor as pallbearers will be Terry Taylor, Joe Taylor, Joey Taylor, Tom Taylor, Jeffrey Marshall and Allen French.
