James "Bo" Rickman, 66, of Ridgely, Tennessee died on Sunday, June 22, 2025. Bo passed away on what would have been his 66th birthday, a day that now marks both his entrance into this world and his peaceful passing."
Bo began his working life with Don Moore Crop Dusting, where he dedicated 21 years of loyal service. He later joined the State of Tennessee Department of Transportation, where he continued his strong work ethic until his well-earned retirement.
A talented and passionate cook, Bo had a gift for making any dish, but he was especially known for his delicious Boston Butts. Family gatherings were never complete without his signature cooking, and his meals brought everyone together around the table with laughter and full plates.
An avid fisherman, Bo loved spending quiet days by the water. However, the moments he held closest to his heart were those shared with his family—particularly his grandchildren. Whether he was cooking, fishing, or just enjoying their company, Bo’s greatest joy was found in being surrounded by those he love.
A visitation to celebrate Bo's life will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife , Denise Hall Rickman of Ridgely, Tennessee; one son Joshua Rickman (Kayla) of Tiptonville, Tennessee; his mother, Mildred Irene Cook Rickman Lawson of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two sisters, Mary Ann Foggy (Larry) of Obion, Tennessee and Vicky Lynch of Dyersburg, Tennessee; he was "PaPaw" to his six grandchildren, Shelby, Joshua, Jr., Dekoda, Carly, Julie and Noah and two great-grandchildren, Blakelynn and Anystin.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sam D. Rickman; two brothers, Mark Anthony Rickman and Steve Rickman and one sister, Barbara Griffin.
