Jackie Ray "Big Hoss" Roberson

Jackie Ray "Jack" "Big Hoss" Roberson, 69 of Union City, Tennessee 38261, died on Monday, October 20, 2025, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.

Born Friday, July 20, 1956, in Lake County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Yvone Roberson and the late Gertrude Sellers Roberson. Mr. Roberson was a retired employee of Barker Brothers.

He was affectionately known as “Jack” and “Big Hoss” by his many friends and family. Jack was born and raised in Lake County, Tennessee, where he grew up in a large and loving family. He never forgot his roots and often reflected on the happy times shared there with those he loved. Jack was a devoted husband and father who loved his family deeply. A man with a big heart and an easy smile, he was the kind of person who could brighten any room he entered.

He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and enjoyed spending time talking on his CB radio. Jack also liked to watch wrestling and could often be found reading the newspaper, keeping up with current events and sharing his thoughts with those around him.

A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Roberson will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at his homeplace located on Tank Two Road in Ridgely, Tennessee.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Teresa Turnbow Roberson ; two sons, Clayton Ray Roberson of Union City, Tennessee and Cory Bliss Roberson of Union City, Tennessee; six brothers, Macie Roberson (Janice) of Tiptonville, Tennessee, Daniel Roberson (Sandy) of Hazel Crest, Illinois, Keith "Squizz" Roberson  (Becky ) of Hickman, Kentucky, Rodney Roberson of Ridgely, Tennessee, Raymond Roberson (Sissy) of Union City, Tennessee, and Richard Roberson (Sam) of Tiptonville, Tennessee; three sisters, Polly Craig of Ridgely, Tennessee, Margaret Davis (Rick) of Ridgely, Tennessee and Donna Rike (Joe) of Williston, Tennessee.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brother, James "Hardtimes" Roberson, Bruce Roberson and Mike Roberson and one sister, Deb Roberson.
