Ike Horn

Ike Horn, 54, of the Cloverdale Community in Obion County, Tennessee, died on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Baptist Hospital in Union City, Tennessee.

He was born on April 1, 1972, in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Farming was more than a livelihood to Ike—it was a way of life that he truly loved. Whether planting, tending crops, or harvesting, he appreciated the rewards that came through hard work, dedication, and perseverance. Ike spent many years as a valued employee of McIntosh Farms before later working for Nichols Farms. He was known as a dependable and hardworking man who took great pride in his work. Farming brought him happiness, and he considered it a blessing to spend his life doing what he loved.

Fishing was one of Ike's greatest passions, and it did not matter where the fish were biting—if there was water nearby, he was ready to cast a line. Some of his most cherished memories were made alongside his favorite fishing buddy, his nephew, Joe Bradley Hale. The two shared countless hours on the water, creating special memories and stories that will be treasured for years to come. He also enjoyed making trips to Grizzly Jig, where he could browse fishing gear, visit with fellow outdoorsmen, and spend time doing something he truly loved.

During the past two years, Ike developed an especially close bond with his nephews, Joe Bradley and Seaton. He took great pride in watching Joe Bradley and Seaton compete in sports and was one of their biggest supporters. Ike and Seaton shared a special connection of their own, often laughing together and exchanging silly jokes that brought smiles to both of them. The time he spent with his nephews became one of the greatest blessings of his life, and those memories will forever be cherished by their family.

Ike was known for his gift of conversation. He never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone he encountered. Whether sharing stories from years gone by, recounting a fishing adventure, or simply visiting with friends, Ike had a way of making people feel welcome. His stories were entertaining, his laughter contagious, and his friendship genuine.

He was a devoted member of Greater Vision Church in Troy, Tennessee.

Graveside services for Mr. Horn will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Zion Cemetery in the Cloverdale Community. Officiating the service will be Pastor Robin Rotgers. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

He is survived by his father Bradley Joe Hale of Cloverdale, Tennessee; one brother, B. J. Hale (Kristin) of Cloverdale, Tennessee and two nephews, Joe Bradley Hale and Seaton Hale.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Georgianna Cothran Hale.

Honoring Mr. Horn as pallbearers will be Nathan Forrester, Henry Jackson, Jim Lee, Lynn McIntosh, Tanner Nichols, Tyler Nichols, Joey Pruitt and John Tyler Willis. Honorary pallbearers will be Rhett McIntosh and David Nichols.
