Herschel Dean Copeland

Herschel Dean Copeland, 85, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Tuesday, November 5, 2019, at his residence in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Tuesday, April 10, 1934 in Tylersville, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Bert Copeland and the late Estelle Higgins Copeland. He was a retired employee of HECO Manufacturing and attended Phillips Street Church of God. Mr. Copeland proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

Funeral services for Mr. Copeland will be 11:00 AM on Friday, November 8, 2019 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Pastor Joseph Ballinger. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife of forty three years, Genette Seratt Copeland of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one daughter, Misty Hutcheson (Philip) of Newbern, Tennessee; three sons, Scott Copeland (Nona) of Bonicord, Tennessee, Steve Copeland (Debbie) of Chandler, Arizona and Stanley Copeland; one brother, Sam Copeland (Ellyn) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one sister, Carolyn Bloomquist of Dyersburg, Tennessee; nine grandchildren, Chance Hutcheson (Rachel), Chris Hutcheson, Colton Copeland, Cayden Copeland, Clymer Copeland, Stephen Copeland, Stan Copeland (Chelsea), Brittany Copeland and Heather Copeland and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Copeland and two sisters, June Hunt and Linda Bradley.

Pallbearers will be Scott Copeland, Chip Ditto, Johnny Bobo, Paul Seratt, Jr., Lloyd Hill and Greg Frye. Honorary pallbearers will be J. C. Castellaw, Steve Pickard, Jerry Osborne, Benny Hall and Tommy Hendren.
