Harvey "Truman" Anderson, 79 of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at his residence in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born Wednesday, April 14, 1943, in Dyer County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Harvey Anderson and the late Evie Powell Anderson. Mr. Anderson was the owner of a paint and body shop. He was a dedicated member of the Dyersburg Church of God. Some of his best memories was helping to raise money for the youth program at Dyersburg Church of God by cooking at the Arts and Crafts Festival. Mr. Anderson was a faithful servant of his Lord and Savior and his goal was seeing that many souls were saved.
Funeral services for Mr. Anderson will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 23, 2022, at the Dyersburg Church of God. Officiating this service will be Rev. Joseph Ballinger. Interment will follow in Rehoboth Cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Anderson will be held at the Dyersburg Church of God on Sunday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and on Monday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM.
He leaves to treasure his memory, his loving wife Jane McBride Anderson of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two daughters, Teresa Sanderson (Bud) of Finley, Tennessee, and Mary Greer (Paul) of Finley, Tennessee; one uncle, Jerry Powell and one nephew, Leon Enochs.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Frances Enoch and one niece, Susan Enochs.
Honoring Mr. Anderson as pallbearers will be Richard Viar, Jason Funderburk, Terry Funderburk, William Pankey, Leon Enochs, and Billy Jack Goad. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill McBride and Glendale Brasfield.
The funeral asks that memorial contributions be directed to the Smokey Mountain Children's Home, 449 McCarn Circle, Sevierville, Tennessee 37862.
