Glynn Edward "Eddie" Welch, 59, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at his residence in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born Saturday, June 4, 1966, he was the son of the late Harry Kenneth Welch, Sr., and the late Marilyn Elizabeth Lambert Welch. Mr. Welch was a former salesman for Winnelson in Dyersburg, where he built lasting relationships.
A man of many passions, Eddie was a die-hard NASCAR fan-Tony Stewart was his undisputed favorite-and he never missed a good football game, no matter the team. He found joy in playing basketball and cherished the legendary "Round Table" gatherings, a tradition known well to those closest to him. He adored his grandchildren and treasured the times that they shared, especially those times spent in the garage.
Funeral services for Mr. Welch will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 12, 2025, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Bro. Joey Clark Interment will follow at Dyer County Memorial Gardens, Dyersburg, Tennessee. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
Above all, Eddie was a family man. He leaves behind his loving wife Donna Faye Welch of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one son, David Odell Robertson (Trisha) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two daughters, Nancy Gourley (Joe, Sr.) of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Janice Maupin (Jason) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one brother, Kevin Bradford Welch of Dyersburg, Tennessee. He was "Grand-Daddy" to his fourteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lenny Joseph Welch and Harry Kenneth Welch, Jr.
Honoring Mr. Welch as pallbearers will be Cordale Robertson, William Gourley, Hunter Ramsey, Gage Robertson, Dalton Bolden, Michael Kidd, and Calvin McLean. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Gourley, Jason Maupin, Matt Stacks, Chris Robertson, Ricky Akins, and Ricky Joe Roofener.
