Geraldine Pitts, 85, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at St. Thomas West in Nashville, Tennessee.
Born Thursday, March 14, 1940, in Dyer County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Richard Overton and the late Annabell Roper Barnes.
Mrs. Pitts leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. A dedicated and hardworking woman, she retired from HECO Manufacturing as a Quality Control Clerk after an impressive 47-year career.
Geraldine had a competitive spirit, especially when it came to playing cards, where she never backed down from a good challenge. She found joy in fishing and was a passionate, die-hard fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, cheering them on through every season. Her love for sports extended beyond being a fan—she took pride in coaching both her daughter and granddaughter in softball, passing down not just skills but also life lessons and a love for the game.
Above all, Geraldine treasured time spent with her family, filling their lives with laughter, wisdom, and unforgettable moments.
Her family and friends take comfort in knowing that her competitive spirit, unwavering dedication, and warm heart will live on in the memories they hold dear.
