Gerald D. Hunter Obituary

Gerald D. Hunter, 78 of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Sunday, April 11, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital - Union City in Union City, Tennessee.

Born Saturday, July 25, 1942, he was the son of the late John Hoyt Hunter and the late Fronnie Autrey Morgan Hunter.   Mr. Hunter was retired from the Tennessee Department of Transportation. 

Graveside services for Mr. Hunter will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, April 16, 2021 at Fairview Cemetery  in Newbern, Tennessee.  Officiating this service will be Mr. John Pate.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 11:45 AM  on Friday, April 16, 2021 at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

He leaves to cherish his memory, one son, Jeff Hunter (Holly) of Atoka, Tennessee; three brothers, Herman Hunter of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Mike Hunter of Paris, Tennessee,  and Gary Hunter of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one sister, Maxine Whitehead of Atoka, Tennessee; and two grand children.

In  addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Dunahoo Hunter and three brothers, Bill Hunter, Joe Hunter and Jimmy Don Hunter; and one sister, Sandra Kinnick.

Honoring Mr. Hunter as pallbearers will be Michael Hunter, David Hunter, Billy Wayne Hunter and Greg Hunter.
