George Harrington

George Harrington, 92, of Friendship, Tennessee died on Friday, January 31, 2020, at his residence in Friendship, Tennessee.
Born Tuesday, March 1, 1927, he was the son of the late Andrew Harrington, Sr. and the late Effie White  Harrington. Mr. Harrington was a retired truck driver and a 50+"Lifetime" member of the Moose Lodge.
Funeral services for Mr. Harrington will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, February 7, 2020 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Rev. James Love and Paul Lowers, II. Interment will follow in Church Grove Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Visitation will be Friday from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
He is survived by one son, Michael Harrington of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one step-daughter, Pam Miotti of Newbern, Tennessee; two sisters, Betty Ann Harrington of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Mary Sue Morgan (Don) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Dana Gilbert Lowers (Paul) of Friendship, Tennessee, Preston Miotti and Mason Miotti both of Newbern, Tennessee, siix great-grandchildren, Lewis "Justin" Jernigan, James Jernigan, Paul Lowers, III, Clara Lowers, Kaitlyn Lowers and Jordan Lowers and one great-great-grandchild Bailey Mae Jernigan.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Smith Hooper ; two brothers, S. R. Harrington and Andrew Harrington and four sisters, Erma Melton, Ruby Jean Petty, Willie Mae Scott and Maxine Hilliard.
Honoring Mr. Harrington as pallbearers will be Justin Jernigan, James Jernigan, Preston Miotti, Mason Miotti, Paul Lowers, II and Paul Lowers, III.
