Gaylon Whitt

Gaylon Whitt, 78, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Monday, February 1, 2021, at his residence in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Monday, December 14, 1942  in Dyer County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Cecil Wesley Whitt and the late Clara Opal Denton Whitt.  Mr. Whitt was a retired employee of Goodyear Tire and Rubber.

Cremation services for Mr. Whitt  are under the direction of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Barbara Ann Fowler Whitt of Dyersburg, Tennessee;  three sons, Mark A. Whitt (Nicole) of Newbern, Tennessee,  David Lynn Whitt (Beth) of Dyersburg, Tennessee and James Brian Whitt of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two sisters, Mary Wells (Leslie) of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Sherelene Whitt of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two grand children, Joshua Dillon Whitt and Hunter Bolden and six great-grand children.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Lillian Snuggs and Lavon Stewart.
