Gary Dwayne Permenter

Gary Dwayne Permenter, 63, of Newbern, Tennessee died on Sunday, August 9, 2020, at his residence in Newbern, Tennessee.

Born Friday, January 4, 1957 in Dyersburg, Tennessee, he was the son of the late J. D. Permenter and the late Sue Permenter. He was the owner of Gary Permenter Construction Company. Mr. Permenter was an avid fan of the Tennessee Vols and Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed lake life where he made many memories with his family and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Permenter will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Rev. Nathe Ozment. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Visitation will be Monday, August 10, 2020 from 4:30 PM until 7:30 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Kimberly Johnson Permenter of Newbern, Tennessee; one son, Kevin Permenter of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two step-sons, Kyle King (Peaches) of Maury City, Tennessee and Kody King of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two brothers, Marty Permenter (Kay) of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Rance Permenter of Finley, Tennessee; two sisters, Paula Stafford of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Shelia Autry (Mike) of Troy, Tennessee and six grandchildren, Blake Strawn of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Zac Permenter of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Bronson Rasp of Ripley, Tennessee, Ava Brook Rasp of Ripley, Tennessee, Kylin Autumn King of Maury City, Tennessee and Kash Lucas King of Maury City, Tennessee.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Kimberly Dawn Permenter Rasp and one sister, Phyllis Lineberry.

Honoring Mr. Permenter as pallbearers will be Jeff Beasley, Bobby Price, Mike Ward, Brian Hale, Ricky Hammond, David Ross, Johnny Parks and Terry Harris.
