Frances Stewart, 89, of Newbern, Tennessee died on Saturday, October 24, 2020, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.
Born Saturday, February 21, 1931 in Iuka, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Geether Trotter and the late Urma Trotter. Mrs. Stewart was a devoted mother who always put her family first. She was a member of Mt. Tirzah Baptist Church where she taught the Senior Women's Sunday School Class for many years.
Due to the current conditions and the family's concern for the health and well being of others a private family funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be family friend, Jimmy Jackson. Internment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee.
She leaves to cherish her memory, six sons, Mickey Stewart (Kathy) of Greers Ferry, Arkansas, Roy Webster "Bubba" Stewart (Mary Ann) of Perry, Georgia, Glenn Stewart of Newbern, Tennessee, Steven Stewart (Kim) of Newbern, Tennessee, Bobby Stewart (Gina) of Higden, Arkansas and Jason Stewart (Amy Linn) of Newbern, Tennessee; two daughters, Terrie Evans of Newbern, Tennessee and Patricia Owen (Pat) of Newbern, Tennessee and twenty-one grandchildren, Jeff Jones, Franklin Stewart, Warren Potter, Jennifer Cheatham, Wade Stewart, Stacee Smith, Josh Stewart, Jeff Stewart, Doug Weatherly, Chad Stewart, Scotty Stewart, Nathan Stewart, Rodney Stewart, Amy Evans Adams, Beth Evans Tipton, Cate Evans, Zack Young, Noah Stewart, Bailey Stewart, Jacob Stewart and Josh Stewart.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Manuel Stewart, Sr., two daughters, Margie Jones and Carolyn Potter; one brother, Charles Trotter; two sisters, Betty Wallace and Muriel Thompson; two-grandchildren, Jimmy Jones and Michael Stewart and her son-in-law, George Evans.
Honoring Mrs. Stewart as pallbearers will be Noah Stewart, Jacob Stewart, Josh Stewart, Doug Weatherly, Nathan Stewart, Rodney Stewart and Zack Young.
