Floretta "Flossie" Walton

Floretta "Flossie" Walton, 96 of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Monday, May 24, 2021, at her residence in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Sunday, August 31, 1924 in Obion County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Robert Ewen Cryer and the late Lillie Ethridge Cryer.  Mrs. Walton was a homemaker and a member of Newbern First Baptist Church.

Graveside services for Mrs. Walton will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at  Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee.   Officiating this service will be Mr. Patrick Williams.  Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home in Newbern, Tennessee.

She leaves to cherish her memory; two sons, Bill Walton (Sandra) of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Mike Walton of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one daughter, Karla Walton Louiyne of Smyrna, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Stacee Graves (Russ), Amy Box (David), Ty Walton (Sheri) and Kelli Willis; thirteen great-grandchildren, Josh Graves (Cammy), Zack Graves, Jereme Graves, Alex Graves (Beth), Michael Graves, Brookelynn Graves, Chandler Graves, Landon Graves, Dillon Box, Riley Kate Box, Kallie Mai Etta Willis,  Ava Brynlee Walton and Destini Elam; three great-great grandchildren, Joshua Graves, Josiah Graves, Josie Graves; special friend, Wanda Smith (Eugene) and she also has three half brothers and four half sisters.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest M. "Preacher" Walton; one-grand-daughter, Jennifer Leigh Walton, one brother, Jesse E. Cryer and three sisters, Susie "Pearl" Center, Dorothy Roden and Betty Ables.

Honoring Mrs. Walton as pallbearers will be Joshua Graves, Zack Graves, Russ Graves, Ty Walton, David Box, Tim Williams, Jay Williams and Marty Jones.  Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Brauner and Charles Jones.
