Evelyn Vadine Shelly Jetton

Evelyn Vadine Shelly Jetton, 87 of Finley,Tennessee died on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.

Born Friday, October 3, 1930 in Finley, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late John Danal Shelly and the late Cara Willie Reaves Shelly. She was the retired office manager for J. C. Penny Company for forty-four years, member of Phillips Street Church of Christ and former member of the Sr. Circle of Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jetton will be 10;00 AM on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Mary Lou Shelly Gilbert., cousin of Mrs. Jetton. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Visitation will be Monday, March 12, 2018 from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Kent Jetton (Kimberly) of Newbern, Tennessee; one step-son, James P. "Jamie" Jetton, Jr. (Ellen) of Tupelo, Mississippi; one grandson, Kyle Jetton (Angie) of Jackson, Tennessee; two step-grandsons, James "Jim" Jetton (Barry) of Horn Lake, Mississippi and Chad Lane Jetton (Mica) of Nesbitt, Mississippi and two step-great-grandchildren, Mikaela Barton and Alayna Jetton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Preston Jetton and one brother, James Shelly.

Pallbearers will be Steve Guttery, Mike Burns, Dean Anderson, Tommy Gibbons, Chad Jetton and Tim Ware. Honorary pallbearers will be Clyde Reaves Shelly, Bill Burns and Edgar Shults.

The family ask that memorial contributions be directed to the Phillips Street Church of Christ., 912 Phillips Street, Dyersburg, Tennessee 38024.
