Eugene Alan Bartee, 59 of Newbern, Tennessee, died on Friday, September 29, 2023, at his residence in Newbern, Tennessee.
Born Monday, December 23, 1963, at Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Jerry Glen Bartee and Mary Lou Parks Bartee. Eugene Bartee was a lineman with A T & T. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during Desert Shield/Desert Storm. He had a passion for playing disc golf where he formed many lifelong friendships. Eugene was an avid outdoorsman but the times he cherished the most were those times he shared with his family.
Interment, with full military honors, will be held at Parker's Crossroads VA Cemetery located at 63 Wildersville Road, Wildersville, Tennessee 38389 at 1:30 PM on Monday, October 9, 2023. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2023, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home, located at 239 East Main Street in Newbern, Tennessee.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Carolyn Jones Bartee of Newbern, Tennessee; two sons, Jerry Dale Bartee of Tustin, California and Justin Bartee (Brittney) of Humboldt, Tennessee; one daughter, Rochelle Alyn Bartee of Tucson, Arizonia, his mother, Mary Lou Parks Bartee of Newbern, Tennessee; one brother, Robert Bartee (Michelle) of Weatherford, Texas; two sisters, Glenda Phillips of Somerville, South Carolina and Beverly Burke (Kevin) of Crossville, Tennessee and he was "Papaw" to his grandchildren, Hanley, Asher and Rylee.
He was preceded in death by his son, Tresk Alan Bartee and his father, Jerry Glen Bartee.
The family asks that memorial contributions be directed to the Charity of their choice.
