Eric Lynn Peevyhouse, 64, of Newbern, Tennessee, died on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at his residence in Newbern, Tennessee.
Born Thursday, December 1, 1960, in Dyer County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late William Robert Peevyhouse and the late Helen Fultz Peevyhouse.
Eric found peace and happiness by the water, especially at Kentucky Lake, where he spent countless hours fishing and enjoying nature. His love for the outdoors was matched by his excitement for dirt track racing. Whether he was in the kitchen preparing a home-cooked meal or sharing stories with family and friends, Eric’s presence brought comfort and laughter to those around him. He proudly served his country in the Tennessee National Guard for 12 1/2 years and was a member of the River Of Life Church in Ridgely, Tennessee.
Graveside services for Mr. Peevyhouse will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Bro. Clayton Mahan.
Visitation for Mr. Peevyhouse will be held on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Garrison Peevyhouse of Newbern, Tennessee; one son, Justin Peevyhouse of Newbern, Tennessee; one step-son, Brian Ingram of Springfield, Missouri; one granddaughter, Victoria Peevyhouse; his fur babies, his two dogs, Ginger and Raine and a host of extended family who loved him dearly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Randall Peevyhouse and Joe Peevyhouse.
Honoring Mr. Peevyhouse as pallbearers will be Brian Peevyhouse, Jeremy Peevyhouse, Jason Peevyhouse, Steven Henry, Allison Peevyhouse and Wayne Cooper. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Earl Peevyhouse and Keith Hardin.
