Emma Jean McGuire, 77, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at her residence in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born on September 22, 1948, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Claude Marbrey and the late Maxine Moore Marbrey.
Emma Jean found joy in the simple pleasures and had a true gift for making ordinary days special. She loved thrifting, always able to find hidden treasures that brought charm and character to her home. A talented crafter, she especially enjoyed crocheting, creating beautiful pieces that will be cherished by her loved ones for years to come.
Cooking for her family was one of her greatest joys, and many special memories were made around her table. She also had a green thumb and loved gardening, finding peace and happiness among her flowers and plants.
Above all, Emma Jean devoted her life to her family, who will deeply miss her kind spirit, laughter, and the unconditional love she gave so freely.
Cremation services for Mrs. McGuire are under the direction of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
She is survived by her husband, Freddie Joe McGuire, Sr. of Dyersburg, Tennessee; three daughters, Glenda Jean Street of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Shirley Kay Gourley of Wardell, Missouri and Cynthia Loines of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one son, Freddie Joe McGuire, Jr. (Angela) of Friendship, Tennessee; one sister, Shirley McWhirter of Dyersburg, Tennessee and seven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Claudia Marbrey and Jewel Marbrey and five brothers, William Marbrey, Paul Marbrey, Claude Marbrey, Timothy Marbrey and Thomas Marbrey.
