Elisabeth Maria Callens

Elisabeth Maria Callens, 75, of Ridgely, Tennessee, died on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.

Born Thursday, March 10, 1949, in Neuhausen, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Karl Myers and the late Monika Myers. Mrs. Callens was a former cook with Dorothy's Cafe and Lara Kendall Elementary School. She was a member of Christ Church Baptist Fellowship.

Funeral services for Mrs. Callens will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Cottonwood Baptist Church in Ridgely, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Mr. Danny Goodman and Rev. Jeremy Ballinger. Interment will follow in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely, Tennessee. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Cottonwood Baptist Church.

She is survived by three sons, Tyree Callens of Troy, Tennessee, David Callens (Angie) of Union City, Tennessee and karl Callens (Tobi) of Ridgely, Tennessee; one daughter, Monika Rhamy (Jason) of Ridgely, Tennessee; daughter by choice,Leslie Harrison (Chris) of Dyer, Tennessee and she was "Nonnie" to her thirteen grandchildren, Seth Callens, Landon Callens, Kera Mills (Stephen), Allie Snyder, Hana Rhamy, Ava Kate Rhamy, Emalee Collins (Austin), Lilli Callens, Meredith Callens, Jacob Callens (Kaitlyn), Emily Davis (Tyler), Hayden Searcy and Gannon Searcy and her seven great-grandchildren. Beckham Callens, Leighton Callens, Paisley Davis, Walker Davis, Hayes Snyder, Hudson Sturdivant and Leighton Mills.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years, Charles Callens.

Honoring Mrs. Callens as pallbearers will be Jared Callens, Jacob Callens, Seth Callens, Stacey River, Ryan Mills and Cade Richards. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Goodman, Macky Wilson, Harry Scott, Casey Wilson, Henry Jackson, Jason Mills and the cafe coffee drinkers (Dorothy's).

The family ask that memorial contributions be directed to Christ Church Baptist Fellowship, 5774 Millsfield Highway, Dyersburg, Tennessee 38024.
