Elbert Petty, Jr.

Elbert Petty, Jr., 75, of Newbern, Tennessee died on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Saturday, September 15, 1945 in Newbern, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Elbert Petty, Sr. and the late Nellie Ring Hallum. Mr. Petty was a former employee of Sylvania and a self-employed car salesman. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and had proudly served in the Tennessee National Guard.

Graveside services for Mr. Petty will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 21, 2020 at New Salem Cemetery in Mason Hall, Tennessee. Officiating the service will be Rev. Tim Fair. Visitation for Mr. Petty will be held Monday from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

He leaves to cherish his memory one son, William Christopher Petty of Memphis, Tennessee.
