Edward Lance Myers Obituary

Edward Lance Myers, 76, of Tiptonville, Tennessee died on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at his residence.

Born Wednesday, August 10, 1949, in Stockton, California, he was the son of the late Hubert T. Myers and the late Margaret P. Winchester Myers.

Edward proudly served his country in the United States Navy for twenty-six years. A true patriot, he held a deep love for America and was honored to have served his nation. He never missed an opportunity to share stories from his military career and often spoke fondly of the experiences and friendships he gained during his years of service. Throughout his distinguished career, he was stationed at various locations across the United States, with one of his longest assignments being at the Naval Support Activity in Millington, Tennessee.

Following his retirement from the Navy, Edward and his beloved wife chose to return to Tennessee and make their home near the beauty and tranquility of Reelfoot Lake.

In addition to his military service, Edward was the retired owner of All Appliance. He was a hardworking man who enjoyed staying busy and could often be found tinkering in his workshop, a place where he spent countless happy hours. Among his favorite hobbies was building and flying remote-control airplanes. Crafting the planes by hand and watching them take flight brought him great satisfaction and enjoyment.

Above all, Edward cherished the time he spent with his family. Whether sharing stories, offering advice, or simply enjoying their company, his family was the center of his life.

Cremation services for Mr. Myers are under the direction of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, of fifty-three year, Janice Runner Myers of Tiptonville, Tennessee; two sons, Eric Myers (Krystal) of Risco, Missouri and Matt Myers (Kirsten Hathcote) of Pleasant View, Utah and one sister, Sue Krautz of Colorado and he was "Grandpa" or "PawPaw" to his grandchildren Taylor (Zach) Miles, Gauge (Shyane) Myers, E.J.
