Edna Faye West Stover

Edna Faye West Stover, 87, of Newbern, Tennessee, died on Saturday, September 28, 2024, peacefully at her home and surrounded by family. Born Saturday, July 17, 1937, in Newbern, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late J. D. West and the late Edna Maureen Phillips West. Ms. Stover was a lifelong resident of Newbern and the proud owner of Stover's Drapery for over fifty years, with her work and talent being sought out by customers from Ohio to Florida.  Ms. Stover (or Ms. Faye, as many knew her) is remembered most for her selflessness, work ethic, delicious home cooking, and endless devotion to and care for her family.

Funeral services for Ms. Stover will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Chaplin Jessie Hopkins. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 30, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

Ms. Stover is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Mike) Samples of Newbern, Tennessee; her son, Jerry Bowers of Newbern, Tennessee: her daughter, Glenda (James) Riggs of Newbern, Tennessee; she was "Grandma" to seven grandchildren, Kelly (Richie) Berry, Justin Murphy, Cindy (Blake) Anderson, Jessica (Erik) Hayes, Cady (Austin) Tice, Nick (Elyse) Denton, and Stephanie (Harley) Dillon; and eleven great-grandchildren, Molly Campbell, Sydney Campbell, Lillian Campbell, Baylee Murphy, Bryson Gray, Cameron Anderson, Chloe Ander, Jennalee Hayes, Kaylee Hayes, Amelia Tice, and Hayden Dillon.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel West and James Edward West.

Honoring Ms. Stover as pallbearers are Andrew Campbell, James Riggs, Austin Tice, Erik Hayes, Richie Berry, Justin Murphy, Mike Samples and Nick Denton. Honorary pallbearer will be Danny West.
