Donald Ray Baize

Donald Ray Baize, 74, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at his residence in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Wednesday, July 23, 1947, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Alvie Ray Baize and the late Moline Howard Baize. Mr. Baize was a former perimeter guard at West Tennessee State Penitentiary (Fort Pillow). He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Mr. Baize was a member of the Little Country Church.

Funeral services for Mr. Baize will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, April 1, 2022, at the Little Country Church located at 2134 B Street in Evansville, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Rev. Royce McGuire. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Visitation will also be on April 1, 2022, from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM at the Little Country Church.

He leaves to treasure his memory, one son, Kevin Baize (Carla) of Obion, Tennessee; one stepson and one stepdaughter; three sisters, Dale Mancell (Lynn), Libby Moody (Barry), and Carolyn Ennis (Danny); two grandchildren, Mia Baize and Logan Baize and a host of step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Baize one brother, Larry Baize and one sister, Margaret Sellers.

Honoring Mr. Baize as pallbearers will be family and friends.
