Don Franklin Monroe, Jr., 59 of Clayton, North Carolina, died on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at WakeMed Raleigh Campus in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Born Friday, March 8, 1963, in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of Don Franklin Monroe, Sr. and Theresa Marie Keegan Monroe. Mr. Monroe was a construction manager with Carolina Commercial Systems.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Funeral services for Mr. Monroe will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, May 27, 2022, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Dyer County Memorial Gardens in Dyersburg. Tennessee. Visitation for Mr. Monroe will be held on Friday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Michelle Ann Nigro Monroe of Clayton, North Carolina; two daughters, Samantha Ann Monroe of Selma, North Carolina and Morgan Gwen Monroe of Clayton, North Carolina; two brothers, Shawn Monroe of Winfield, Illinois and Monroe, Brian of Newburgh, Indiana; two sisters, Connie Zawisza of Melrose Park, Illinois and Barbara Vaiana of River Grove, Illinois.

Honoring Mr. Monroe will be family and friends.
