Don Luckett

Don Luckett, 85, of Newbern, Tennessee, died on Sunday, May 5, 2019, at VanAyer Health & Rehabilitation Center in Martin, Tennessee.

Born Thursday, May 3, 1934 in Haywood County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Robert Luckett and the late Nannie Leona Daniels Luckett. He was a retired employee of Colonial Rubber and worked as a greeter at Wal-Mart for twenty years. Mr. Luckett was a member of Glendale Church of Christ.

Funeral services for Mr. Luckett will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Bro. Serge Shoemaker. Interment will follow in Hurricane Hill Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

He is survived by one son, Kenneth Andrew Luckett of Newbern, Tennessee; three daughters, Donna Luckett (Barbara) of Portland, Oregon, Sonja Epperson (Tim) of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Shelly Lemons (Terry) of Newbern, Tennessee; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Cordellia Sipes Luckett, six brothers and two sisters.

Pallbearers will be Carl "C. J." Fowler, Evan Dumser, Joshua Monroe, Fred Bray, James Dale Franklin and Terry Lemons.
