Dixie Willis Carson

Dixie Willis Carson, 85, of Newbern, Tennessee died on Sunday, July 12, 2020, at her residence in Newbern, Tennessee.

Born Sunday, May 5, 1935 in Dyer County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Carlos Seaton and the late Melissa Mae Warren Seaton. She was a retired employee of Seaton Construction and member of Glendale Church of Christ.

A celebration of life graveside service for Mrs. Carson will be 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Zion Cemetery. Officiating the service will be Bro. Serge Shoemaker. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Johnnie Carson of Newbern, Tennessee; two sons, Chad Willis of Newbern, Tennessee and Jeff Willis (Tammie) of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; two daughters, Gale Seaton of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Tammy Angel (Tony) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one step-son, John Carson of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one step-daughter, Tina Tull (Cliff) of Dyersburg, Tennessee: one sister, Betty Willis of Newbern, Tennessee; eleven grand children; thirteen great-grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Barnard Willis; three brothers, Carl Seaton, Kenneth Seaton and Randy Seaton; three sisters, Brenda Kemp, Wyloden Lambert and Lavenia Pruitt and one grandson, Brian Butler.
