Diane Smith,71, of Yorkville, Tennessee died on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at her residence.
Born Monday, May 17, 1954, in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Harold Gilden "Slim" Allen and the late Dorothy Laverne Houston Allen.
Diane was a beloved wife, mother, "Grammy," sister, and friend who touched countless lives with her steady presence, selfless spirit, and unwavering faith.
She had a passion for collecting cobalt blue glass, and she found joy in antiquing—especially when shared with her sister, Wanda. A gifted cook, Diane made every meal feel like a celebration and was known for the warmth and love that came from her kitchen.
She served for many years as the Head Cashier at Dyer County High School’s cafeteria, where she was not only a dedicated employee but also a cherished friend to many of her coworkers and the students she greeted daily.
Diane was a devoted member of Newbern First Baptist Church, having joined in 1982. For nearly 30 years, she faithfully served as Sunday School Secretary, quietly offering her time and care to the church she loved.
