Deborah "Debbie" Gooch, 64, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at her residence in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born Sunday, October 16, 1960, in Dyersburg, Tennessee she was the daughter of the late Paul Newhouse and the Ann Carroll Tubbs
Debbie was known for her unwavering dedication as a caregiver for the disabled, she devoted her career to working in group homes, where she made a lasting impact on the lives of those she served. She was stern when needed, always firm in her beliefs, but her love and loyalty ran deep. Those who knew her best will remember that her care came not only through her words but through her actions.
Debbie was also a gifted cook, known far and wide for making the best dumplings anyone ever tasted. In addition to her culinary talents, she had a passion for gardening and took great pride in canning the fruits (and vegetables) of her labor to be enjoyed year-round.
Cremation services for Mrs. Gooch are under the guidance of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
She is survived by one son, Jonathan Gooch (Holly) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; her mother Ann Tubbs of Ridgely, Tennessee; two brothers, Charlie Newhouse of Ridgely, Tennessee and Peanut Newhouse of Dyersburg, Tennessee and she was "Nana" to her six grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Gooch and one son, Paul Gooch.
