Debbi Moody Young

Debbi Moody Young, 67, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at her residence in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Sunday, November 7, 1954, in Tigertail, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late James Moody and the late Louise Terry  Metza. Ms. Young was the former Coordinator of Pathways Peer Support Center and former manager of Pathways Hope Center. Ms. Young was an advocate for the mentally challenged and building recovery of individuals through education and support.

A celebration of life service for Ms. Young will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Our Little Country Church located at 2134 B Street in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Officiating the service will be Bro. Royce McGuire and Bro. Tim Nichols. Visitation for Ms. Young will be held Thursday from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Our Little Country Church.

She is survived by two sons, Michael Paul Young of Fayetteville, North Carolina and William "Bill" Yants, Jr. (Kathy) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; three brothers, Barry Moody (Libby) of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Kenneth Moody (Mary) of Dyersburg, Tennessee and James William Moody (Nancy) of Tiptonville, Tennessee; three sisters, Joyce Peery of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Tina Randall (Mark) of Miston, Tennessee and Sandra Burrus (Jimmy) of Tiptonville, Tennessee and four grandchildren, Colton Young, Auriana Young, Brianna Yants and Bradley Yants.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, William Rusty Maynard and Jeffrey Lynn Maynard.
