David Thomas "Doc" Boswell, 93, of Dyersburg, Tennessee. died on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born Monday, December 29, 1930, in the Bonicord Community, he was the son of the late Perry Boswell and the late Ellen Lovins Boswell. Mr. Boswell was a retired employee of Dyersburg Machine Works and member of the Southside Baptist Church.
Funeral services for Mr. Boswell will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Rev. Loren Stephens. Interment will follow in Sorrell's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
He leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters, Wanda McCamon (Larry) of Biloxi, Mississippi and Joyce Permenter (Ernie) of Fayetteville, Arkansas; one sister, Birdie Baker of Dyersburg, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Brandon Permenter (Cambrie), Beth Evans (Joel), Tracy Moore, Alan Arnold, Calum Boswell, Annie Perkins and Bubba Boswell and five great-grandchildren, Colby and Lane Evans, Hadley Hutchison (Alex), Kinley Hutchison, David and Jenna Arnold and Tamryn Woolfork.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, of forty-seven years, Nelda Ann Boswell; one son, Michael Boswell, Sr., one daughter, Judy Boswell Brooks; one stepson, Keith Pardue and three sisters, Helen Hopper, Elizabeth Roberts and Sarah Rogers.
Honoring Mr. Boswell as pallbearers will be Ernie Permenter, Brandon Permenter, Lane Evans, Joel Evans, Larry McCamon and Bubba Boswell.
