David Dwayne Luckett, 76, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Sunday, February 14, 2021, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born Thursday, November 23, 1944 in Unionville, Tennessee, he was the son of the late David Cornelius Luckett and the late Helen Opal Slaughter Luckett. He was the owner of The Graphix Shoppe and a bus driver for the Dyer County School Systems. Mr. Luckett was a retired reserve deputy for the Dyer County Sheriff's Department, member of the Dyer County Historical Society and proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard.
Cremation services for Mr. Luckett are under the direction of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Elaine Walker Luckett of Dyersburg, Tennessee; four sons, Adam Travis Luckett (Stephanie) of Newbern, Tennessee, Ethan Edward Luckett of Oxford, Mississippi, Matthew Ryan Luckett of St. Louis, Missouri and David Brian Luckett of Dyersburg, Tennessee and he was "Pop" to one grand-daughter, LeeAnn Winchester and one great-grandson, Colt Taylor King.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Odessa King and Launa Hilliard.
