David Allan Dennison Obituary

David Allan Dennison, 76, of Newbern, Tennessee died on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
 
Born Monday, December 25, 1944 in Dyer County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late J.P. Dennison and the late Annie Lou Pledge Dennison.  He was the owner of Dennison Clothing & Shoe Store and Newbern Mini Storage.  Mr. Dennison proudly served his country in the United States Navy and attended Newbern First Baptist Church.
 
Funeral services for Mr. Dennison will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, December 3. 2021 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with Rev. Mark LaRue officiating.  Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee.  Visitation will be held Friday from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
 
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of thirty-seven years, Teresa Leggett Dennison of Newbern, Tennessee; two sons, James Franks of Newbern, Tennessee and Tony Franks of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two daughters, Penny Hatley  of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Tammy Ladd (Jeff) of Newbern, Tennessee; eight sisters, Faye Seboly of Bartlett, Tennessee, Carolyn Gregory (Jimmy) of Bartlett, Tennessee, Kay Miller of Newbern, Tennessee, Janet Keedy (Dave) of Newbern, Tennessee, Patsy Whitworth of Little Rock, Arkansas, Wanda Mott (Ronnie)of Kuttawa, Kentucky, Polly Dennison of Bartlett, Tennessee and Mary Milam (David) of Bartlett, Tennessee; two brothers, Jimmy Dennison(Murl) of Forney, Texas and Paul Dennison (Susie) of Nashville, Tennessee and  he was "PaPaw" to  nine grandchildren and twelve great-grand children with one soon to join the family in February.  
 
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Dennison and one grandson, Alex Franks.
 
Honoring Mr, Dennison as pallbearers will be Seth Ladd, Daryl Hatley, Brandon Franks, Don Garner, Josh Cole and Hunter Grills.
 
The family asks that memorial contributions be directed to the Newbern First Baptist Church Children's Building Program, 114 West Main Street, Newbern, Tennessee 38059.
