Darren Carl Lamar Jones

Darren Carl Lamar Jones, 28, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, formerly of Dyersburg, Tennessee, died on Friday, September 15, 2023, at his residence in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Born March 17, 1995, in Nashville, Tennessee, to the late Darryl Jones and Katrina Ann Russell.  Mr. Jones was a 2013 graduate of Dyer County High School and attended the University of Memphis, He was a customer services representative for AllState Life Insurance.

Graveside services for Mr. Jones will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee.  Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery.  

He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents by choice, Eugene and Wanda Smith of Dyersburg, Tennessee, his mother Katrina Ann Russell of Dyersburg, Tennessee; three brothers, Dontay Russell (Sheronda Tucker) of Tallahassee, Florida, Sam Jones of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Austin Russell of Memphis, Tennessee; five sisters, Tiffany Jones (Alex) of Nashville, Tennessee, Natasha Jones-Arnold (Nicole) of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Monica Russell of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Kellye Smith of Nashville, Tennessee and Tiffany Smith-Winkler (Jerry) of Nashville, Tennessee; five uncles, Leon Russell (Sonya) of Nashville, Tennessee, James Russell (Cheryl) of Nashville, Tennessee, Sam Jones of Dallas, Texas, Eric Jones of Birmingham, Alabama and Claude Grant of Nashville, Tennessee, two aunts, Nancy Givens of Nashville, Tennessee and Vera Merritt (Sherman) of Nashville, Tennessee; host of nieces, nephews and cousins who loved him dearly and special friends, Don and Janie Gregson and Cody Isbell.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one uncle, Marvin Jones.
