Danny Wayne McCaig

Danny Wayne McCaig, 70, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg,Tennessee.

Born Friday, January 26, 1951 in Gibson County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Lee McCaig and the late Rosie May Eaton McCaig. Mr. McCaig was retired  employee of DSCUD. He was a minister and member of the Church of Jesus Christ.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Saturday, February 27, 2021,  in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Bro. Mickey Dodd and Bro. Chris Burnine. Entombment will be held at a later date in Fairview Cemetery  in Dyersburg,Tennessee. Visitation will be Friday, February 26, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and on Saturday from 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, of fifty-three years, Maxine Carroll McCaig of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one daughter Lisa Burnine (Chris) of Newbern, Tennessee; one son Timothy McCaig (Terrina) of  Dyersburg, Tennessee; two brothers Dennis McCaig of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Jimmy McCaig  of Trenton, Tennessee; three sisters Stella Crumbly of Lyles, Tennessee,  Linda McCaig of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Mary Tibbs of Holiday, Tennessee; three grandchildren Caleb Burnine (Hannah), Joshua Burnine (Malorie) and Emma Lee Rose Burnine; three step-grandchildren, J. T Ketchum, Autumn Ketchum and Shea Allmon; one great grandchild  PresLeigh Anne Burnine and three step-great-grandchildren, Brooke, Emma and Gracelynn.

In addition to his parents Mr. McCaig was preceded in death by one brother George McCaig, 

Since the entombment is being held at a later date, the family kindly asks that memorials be artificial sprays, potted plants or gift items.  Due to the current national pandemic conditions, those in attendance at the visitation and funeral service are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
