Dallas Ray Ogden, 68, of Tiptonville, Tennessee died on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at his residence in Tiptonville, Tennessee.
Born Friday, July 2, 1954, he was the son of the late Prather Lee Ogden and the late Mary Ellen Dial Ogden. Mr. Ogden worked as a certified welder at Superior Fireplace-Lennox in Union City for twenty-four years. He had always wanted to drive "Big Rigs" and he was able to fulfil that dream working as a driver for Trans-AM. He retired from the Tennessee Department of Corrections as an officer with Northwest Correctional Complex in Tiptonville, Tennessee. Mr. Ogden proudly served his county in the United States Navy.
Graveside services for Mr. Ogden will be held at New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely, Tennessee at 9:30 AM on Thursday, June 8, 2023. Officiating the service will be Pastor Jamie Adams. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Sandra Heath Ogden of Tiptonville, Tennessee; one daughter, Megan Harrison (Dalton) of Trimble, Tennessee; two brothers, James "Sonny" Hale (Judy) of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Dennis Ogden (Donna) of Milan, Tennessee; two sisters, Diane Kuykendall (Jimmy) of Ridgely, Tennessee and Alice Bradley of Martin, Tennessee; one step-sister, Shamra Dawson (Steve) of Gardendale, Alabama and he was "Grand-PA" to his three grandchildren, Joel Penick, Xain Harrison and Landon Harrison.
Honoring Mr. Ogden as honorary pallbearers will be Michael Kuykendoll, Brian Kuykendoll, Cody Kuykendoll, Dalton Harrison, Jason Ogden, and Shane Ogden.
