Dale Eugene Hogie, 78 passed away on June 21, 2025, in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born October 9, 1946, Dale spent his youth in Astoria, South Dakota, where he also
completed his high school education. Dale excelled in sports, music and was Co-
Salutatorian. He furthered his studies at General Beadle State College in Madison,
South Dakota. Dale’s career was marked by his dedication to education and
agriculture. He taught school in Hill City, Ramona and Parker South Dakota, as well as
in Hawarden , Iowa. Beyond his teaching career, Dale also spent time farming near
Hendricks, Minnesota and later worked at Bomgaars in Hawarden, Iowa before retiring
to Tennessee.
Dale was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret, his parents, Emery and
Lenora Hogie, and his brother Ronald Hogie. He leaves behind a loving family including
his children, Jennifer Hogie and friend Paul Brouillette and son Jason Hogie.
Grandchildren Maggie and Abby Hogie and brothers Jerry and wife Linda, Duane and
wife Julie, and Bradley Hogie and Sister in Law Susan Hogie. Many Nieces and
Nephews and Cousins.
Cremation services for Mr. Hogie are under the direction of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
A memorial service for Dale will be held in the future, where family and friends can
come together to honor his memory and legacy.
