Cynthia Jean "Cindi" Cherry

Cynthia Jean "Cindi" Cherry, 68, of Trenton, Tennessee died on Sunday, January 31, 2021, at West Tennessee Healthcare-North in Jackson, Tennessee.

Born Friday, October 17, 1952 in Dyersburg, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Henry Eugene "Gene" Parnell and the late Peggy Marie Smith  Parnell. She was  a retired Music Educator for the Dyer County School System, Gibson School System and Dyersburg State Community College. Mrs. Cherry was a life long member of the Dyersburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she served as the musical accompanist for twenty-two years.

Funeral services for Mrs. Cherry will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, February 4, 2021 at the Dyersburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Officiating this service will be Rev. Dr. Cory D. Williams and Rev. Annetta Camp. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 and on Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM both at the Dyersburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Carlton Cherry of Trenton, Tennessee; two daughters, Cortnee Quinn Wilkes (Jonathan) of Trenton, Tennessee and Calyn Jean McMinn (Matt) of Dyer, Tennessee; one step-daughter, Carla Elaine Capps of Trimble, Tennessee; one step-son, Greg Cherry (Mimi) of Newbern, Tennessee; one sister, Sara Nick (Lyle) of Fairfield, California; two nieces, DeLaine Nick and Alyssa Bernacil (Jason); one nephew, Chasen Nick and she was "Mymama" to her three grandchildren, Jon Asher  Wilkes, Adalynne Quinn Wilkes and Charlee Jean McMinn.

Honoring Mrs. Cherry as pallbearers will be Jason Glendowne, Dae Glendowne, Chasen Nick, John Daniel Parnell, Dru Smith and Troy Vaughn. Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Cherry and elders of the Dyersburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

The family asks that memorial contributions be directed to the Dyersburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 2280 Parr Avenue, Dyersburg, Tennessee 38024.
