Clarence Willie Childress, Jr., 60, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born Thursday, June 30, 1960 in Dyersburg, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Clarence Willie Childress, Sr. and the late Bessie Maurine Watson Childress. He was a coach and umpire at Dyersburg Activity Center for many years.
Visitation for Mr. Childress will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Family and friends will gather at 9:00 AM on Friday, March 26, 2021 at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee for interment.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Gatlin Childress of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two sons, Dustin Childress (Christina Rogers) of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Barry Childress (Josie Reed) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; three step-sons, Lowell Owen, Thomas Owen and Matthew Owen; six daughters, Nicole Childress (Todd Reynolds) of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Ashley Childress (Devon Ford) of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Ava Childress (Dalton Bennett) of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Stefanie Webb (Sam) of Morristown, Tennessee; Page Johnson of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Misty Childress of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one sister, Johnnie Sue McDaniel of Flint, Michigan; fifteen grandchildren, Dustin Childress, Jr. Olivia Childress, Layla Childress, Heath Childress, Daniel McCaig, Jr., Karmin Reynolds, Kamarah Reynolds, Tyler Ford, Emmie-Lou Ford, Ezra Ford, Baylor Adams, Winley Adams, Kinson Adams, Johnathan Webb and Hendrix Reed, one step-grandchild, Mia Stafford and one niece, Kimberly Sweeney.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Topper Blalock and Andy Anderson.
