Clara S. Beecham Obituary

Clara S. Beecham, 89, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, died on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

Born Friday, August 18, 1933, in Benton County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Cecil N. Smith and the late Clara Stockdale Smith.  Mrs. Beecham was a retired South Central Bell Telephone Operator and homemaker.  She was a friend to all that she met and loved spending time with her family and friends and making special memories. Mrs. Beecham was a lifelong member of the Church of God of Prophecy and was presently a member of the Dyersburg Church of God of Prophecy. 

Funeral services for Mrs. Beecham will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, September 19, 2022, at the Dyersburg Church of God of Prophecy located at 1620 Upper Finley Road in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Rev. Joe Watson and Pastor Jeremy Robbins. Interment will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at the Stockdale Cemetery in Big Sandy, Tennessee with Rev. Joe Watson officiating. Visitation for Mrs. Beecham will be held on Monday from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the Dyersburg Church of God of Prophecy.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Clarissa Snyder (Roger) of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Barbara Watson (Joe) of Jackson, Tennessee; one brother, Cecil Smith, Jr.(Linda) of Tullahoma, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Clara Dudley (Thomas), Devonna Klotz (Jeff), Amy Dluzniewski (Sam), David Hendricks (Britney) and Amanda Floyd (Lanny); fifteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members that she loved dearly.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Kenneth Ray Beecham and one brother, Charles W. Smith and his wife, Willean.

Honoring Mrs. Beecham as pallbearers will be Thomas Dudley, David Hendricks, Dalton Presslar, Zack Hendricks, Patrick Ammons and Ethan Ammons.
