Cherry Ann Taylor Smith

Cherry Ann Taylor Smith, 74, of Newbern, Tennessee died on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at her residence in Newbern, Tennessee.

Born Wednesday, December 18, 1946 in Dyer County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late William Zack Taylor, Sr. and the late Doris Cherry Nichols Taylor. Mrs. Smith was the owner of Jack and Jill Daycare in Newbern, Tennessee. She was an accomplished seamstress.

Graveside services for Mrs. Smith will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Rev. Tyler Neeley. Visitation for Mrs. Smith will be held on Saturday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Michael Andrew "Dru" Smith (Leanne) of Newbern, Tennessee and John A. Smith (Tonie) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one brother, William Zack Taylor, Jr (Molly). of Salem, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Amanda Riley, Laura Smith, Taylor Smith (Ally), Brock Smith(Hannah), Katie Peevyhouse (Ben), Bryce Smith, Brittney Countess and Leanna Clark (Cody) and twelve great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Mark Allen Smith.

Honoring Mrs. Smith as pallbearers will be Matt Ketchum, Jason Ray, Rick Ellis, Carl Sellers, J. R. Usry, Jeremy Tucker and Adam Milligan.
