Charles Larry "Chuck" Gaddy

Charles Larry "Chuck" Gaddy, 81. of Dyersburg, Tennessee, died on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.

Born Thursday, August 21, 1941, in Frog Jump, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Emmett Eugene Gaddy and the late Mary Fincher Gaddy. Mr. Gaddy was a retired truck driver.

Funeral services for Mr. Gaddy will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Archer's Chapel Church, located at 339 Archer's Chapel Road, Halls, Tennessee. Officiating the service will be Bro. Donnie Crone. Interment will follow at Archer Chapel Cemetery in Halls, Tennessee. Visitation for Mr. Gaddy will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Archer's Chapel Church in Halls, Tennessee.

He is survived by one son, Charles Richard "Ricky" Gaddy of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two daughters, Mary Virginia “Cissy" McDonald (William) of Newbern, Tennessee and Jacqlyn Michelle Thompson (Richard) of Friendship, Tennessee; one brother, Willis Gene Gaddy of Ettrick, Wisconsin; two grandsons, Charles Jordan Mathenia (Kristian) of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Thomas Jackson Mathenia (Marcy Davis) of Dyersburg, Tennessee, six step grandchildren, Zach Ellington (Beverly) of Newbern, Tennessee, Lindsay Ennis of Newbern, Tennessee, Brittany Baker (Jeff) of Crestview, Florida, Brett McDonald (Melissa) of Ft. Stewart, Georgi,  Katrina Blackwood (Charlie) of Nashville, Tennessee, and Trevor Thompson; ten step great grandchildren, Austin, Garrett, Lucas, Patrick, Oakley, Kylee, William, Madilyn, Levi, and Anna Beth. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his eldest brother, Duaine Gaddy.

Honoring Mr. Gaddy as pallbearers will be Zach Ellington, Barry Cottrell, Jackson Mathenia, Jordan Mathenia, Austin Ellington, Garrett Ellington and Charlie Blackwood.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be directed to Healing Horses, 225 Parker Road, Dyersburg, Tennessee 38024, or the Darkhorse Lodge, 1951 Swor Road, Springville, Tennessee 38256.
