Charles Jeff Harrison

Charles Jeff Harrison, 77, of Martin, Tennessee, formerly of Newbern, Tennessee, died on Monday, January 12, 2026, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.

Born Thursday, July 15, 1948, in Dyer County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late George Harrison and the late Elizabeth French Harrison.

Mr. Harrison attended Vanderbilt University before returning to Dyer County to join the family farming operation. He was a lifelong farmer, landowner, and property investor who was well known and respected across the state. Known for his quick wit, he genuinely enjoyed sitting and visiting with people. He was intelligent and well-versed on a wide range of topics at the local, national, and world levels. Reading the daily newspaper was one of his favorite ways to stay informed and engaged with current events. Mr. Harrison proudly served in country in the United States Navy.

Funeral services for Mr. Harrison will be held at 12:30 PM on Saturday, January 17, 2026, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Mr. Eric Maupin. Interment will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday at Collier Cemetery in Martin, Tennessee. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

He is survived by one daughter, Heather Walker (Cody) of Newbern, Tennessee; stepdaughter, Jennie Hernandez (Umberto) of Martin, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Jeffrey (Bridget) Garrett (Ashton), Peyton and Kaitlyn; two step-grandchildren, Grace and Ezra and one great-grandson, Matthew.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Booker Harrison; one daughter, Elizabeth Harrison and one brother, George C. Harrison.

Honoring Mr. Harrison as pallbearers will be family and friends.
