Cathy Jean Blackburn Tetreault Obituary

Cathy Jean Blackburn Tetreault of Kenton, Tennessee, died on Sunday, April 20, 2025, at her residence in Kenton, Tennessee.

Born Wednesday, February 3, 1954, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Lee R. Blackburn and the late Jean White Blackburn.

Cathy was a woman of many talents and quiet joys. She loved to crochet, often creating beautiful, handmade pieces with care and love. An avid reader, she found comfort and escape in the pages of her favorite books.  She was a member of Okalona Baptist Church in Hatton, Alabama.

A gifted cook, Cathy was best known for her extraordinary fudge—a treasured family recipe passed down from her mother. Her homemade dressing was another family favorite, always prepared with the same love that filled her kitchen and her heart.

Cathy enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially tuning in to her favorite game shows like Wheel of Fortune and classic television series such as Leave It to Beaver and Little House on the Prairie. These shows brought her joy and a sense of nostalgia that she cherished.

Cathy will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her love of tradition, and the way she made everyone around her feel at home. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
